Flower Festival: St Michael’s Church
2 Bishops, 2 Archdeacons --- & a Judge!
…..are the inspiration behind the flower festival ‘All Over the World’ taking place in St Michael’s Parish Church, Abergele from 21-24 June. Over the years Abergele has produced a number of people who have served overseas. A bishop of Japan, a bishop of St Helena, an archdeacon of Singapore and an archdeacon of Zanzibar as well as a judge for the north west provinces of India are all commemorated in St Michael’s along with those from the area who have sacrificed their lives in battles and conflicts in places as diverse as Burma, Thailand, Jerusalem and various parts of Europe. They will be remembered in the displays planned for the flower festival.
